SUNNY DAY BLOG HOP *** A Lisa Lodge Challenge

It has been a long while since I have visited with you my friends.  For this, I apologize.  I promise not to be such a stranger from now on.  My "come-back" blog is very special.  It is a bead challenge from Lisa Lodge of Pine Ridge Treasures.

You know I was over the moon when I saw this package of goodies.  My mind was all over the place! I love the colors!  I love the cultured sea glass and the brass findings!!   I can make this and I can make that....

Please read on to see what I decided on.

The very first thing I HAD to make were these GEOMETRIC GLASS EARRINGS:

At this point I need to add a disclaimer....My camera is new and I am trying to figure it out.  The pale glass is a lemon yellow.  I hope that by the time I have these list in my shop I will have the color right.  The circles are periwinkle.  The  thread used is olive drab (it really is the name) waxed Irish linen.  I think I say this every blog hop...but I may just keep these.

Naturally, When the earrings were done, the matching necklace was screaming to be made!

I believe the middle pendant shows the detail of the etching in the cultured sea glass.  The word LOVE is etched in bold capital letters.

On one side of the necklace you have anchors in the sand; the other sea turtles swimming with the current.  I have aptly (I think, anyway) I LOVE THE BEACH.

For me, one of the best parts of summer is waking up to the birds singing!  I was so thrilled that Lisa included these sweet song birds in the kits.

These SONG BIRD EARRINGS will be in my shop when I re-open (as well as everything you see on this page).

This piece is presented last because it represents the LAST DAYS of SUMMER,  From the chainmaille rosettes to the teardrop (tears of sadness) crackle glass pendant.

Don't be too sad there are many more SUNNY DAYS at the following blogs.  Check out what these lovely ladies did with their kits:

I WISH IT WERE SUMMER

I WISH IT WERE SUMMER!!
A Lisa Lodge (Pine Ridge Treasures..on Facebook) blog hop bead challenge.

I love these challenges!!  I learn so much about myself; stretch the bounds of my creativity!!  I recommend something like this to all artisans.

The premise is this:  Lisa announces a theme.  You buy the kit sight unseen; with just a couple of clues. What we knew about this kit was that it might contain cultured sea glass, glass, plated metal, and other surprises (you see... no 2 kits are alike).  My surprises were charms (stars), Picture Jaspar, glass pearls, and some lovely findings (clasps, hooks, spacers)

Here is a picture of the items I received:

You all know I LOVE this selection!  My ideas were flowing like nearby Niagara Falls!  Here is aa picture of ALL of my items I thought I would use with my new treasures!

You are absolutely right.....a wee bit overwhelming!

After narrowing down my choices I made a bracelet, a pair of earrings and 2 necklaces.  I hope you like them!  Please leave comments below.

The following is the same necklaces with a view of how it hangs.

I love them all but this last one is my very favorite!! Not sure yet, I might just keep it.

Thank you all for visiting.  Please follow me for more blog hop challenges, sightseeing, fashion tips, visiting with your favorite artist.  I have restructured my blog.  I will post the  schedule in my next post.

These items will be for sale at silverpennyartisan.etsy.com Monday 2/27/16.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!!!

Have a great day!!!
Rosee

Drop Earrings. Delicate Peach and Gold Earrings

This listing is for the pair of delicate peach and gold drop earrings picture above.

A 24 K gold plated Morning Glory shaped ear wire is holding a 10 mm peach Czech faceted glass matte finished melon bead.

These earrings hang 1 1/4" from the top of the hook (they will land at the very top of your jaw).

They are truly one of a kind jewelry. Elegant yet playful; subtle and dramatic all at once! These will easily become your go-to earrings for any occasions!

GOLD is the color of wealth, success and status.

The color peach represents immortality in Chinese civilization because the peach tree of immortality, long thought to be on a mountainside somewhere in the Tian Shan mountains in western China, is a key concept in the mythology of the Taoist religion.

SURPRISE SATURDAY Oct 17, 2015

As you know SURPRISE SATURDAY can be anything I feel like chatting about.  You never know what you are going to get.

Today, I am sharing my shops items that were featured in a listing blitz host by the A NEED TO SUCCEED team on Etsy.

Steampunk Gears Belt Buckle Necklace

The steampunk gears belt buckle necklace is a wonderfully simple and elegant steampunk necklace; contemporary and edgy yet not over the top.

The elements are up-cycled. Up-cycling makes a positive impact on the environment. I feel it is greener than recycling.

The length is 21 1/2" (matinee length). The matinee length necklace is perfect with turtlenecks, scoop necks, square necklines, open collar shirts and sweetheart necklines.

It is silver toned; meaning it will match anything and everything.

Simply put the steampunk gears belt buckle necklace is THE necklace!

Tree of Life and First Acorns Earrings

Tree of Life and First Acorns Earrings remind me of The Lord of the Rings.

In The Fellowship of the Ring, Tom Bombadil said, "Eldest, that's what I am...Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn...he knew the dark under the stars when it was fearless — before the Dark Lord came from Outside.."

You can wear these gorgeous earrings every day! They can be worn on just about every occasion and outfit!

LENGTH: 1" from the bottom of the coiled fish hook earrings (with silicone backs)

Long Versatile Key Necklace

Long Versatile Key Necklace is also a beaded bracelet! This clever necklace can be worn short or long. With the key or without the key. Can be worn single strand or double; twisted or not. It is about as versatile as you can want!!! Can be worn single, double, twisted, or not as a wrapped bracelet as well!

The necklace chain is strung with size 11/0 seed beads of pastel aqua, pastel peach, white with an opaque luster, antique gold and translucent amber.

The ivory (antiqued white) key is an over-sized skeleton key measuring 4"long and 1 1/2" at its tallest.

This ingenious necklace is closed with an oval clasp.

OOAK Unique Jewelry September 28, 2015

Long Asymmetrical Green, Ivory, and Brown Dangle Earrings

Long asymmetrical green, ivory, and brown dangle earrings are very unique indeed!!
These are fun whimsical statement jewelry!
While they are made of natural stone, They are very light to wear.
The sea foam green stones and the ivory quartz are individually knotted on chocolate brown Irish waxed linen thread for drama AND security.
The bit of whimsy was added with the polka dot euro style beads.
Two (2) different shaped cola colored transparent beads finish off the earrings with asymmetrical flare.
Personally, I feel these are more casual than dressy but I will leave that up to you.
One hangs 4 1/2" (11.43cm). The other not quite 5" (12.7cm).
Dangle earrings look best with oval, round and heart shaped faces.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2015

Men's Plum Tribal Bracelet

Men's plum tribal bracelet is a casual classic! Easy to wear; goes with everything!
The glass chevron bead is a deep plum on the outside with layers of red and white inside. I love these beads. I have them in most colors. So, if plum isn't your color, let me know color you would like.
The bead is on chocolate suede. Knotted on both sides so it won't slide around.
This bracelet is adjustable from 81/2" to 11"

OUR NEWEST PIECE (20 September 2015)

Blue Mismatched Asian Earrings/

Miniature Vase Jewelry/

Porcelain Earring/

Blue Jewelry

Blue mismatched Asian earrings. Blue asymmetrical Dutch earrings. It doesn't matter what I call them....I LOVE these earrings. I bought a bulk "mystery" bag of porcelain beads from one of my suppliers and these were the only ones like them. Four (4) pounds of beads! They stood out like 2 diamonds!

Anyway, these little beauties hang 2" from the top of the French hook. As with all of my dangle earrings, I added a silicone back for extra security.

I accented them with cobalt pressed glass donuts and round periwinkle cultured sea glass beads.

These earrings will soon become your everyday earrings.
